Anthropic has announced three new beta features for the Claude platform aimed at dynamic discovery and utilization of tools, significantly enhancing the efficiency of interactions with AI agents.

Anthropic announced the launch of three new beta features on the Claude platform that allow artificial intelligence to dynamically find and use various tools. Among the innovations are a search tool, a programmatic tool invocation, and usage examples, which simplify working with the variety of available tools for AI agents.
The first feature, the Search Tool, allows Claude to find the necessary tools as needed, rather than loading all definitions in advance. This reduces the number of tokens used, which is especially important when working with large libraries. Tests showed an 85% reduction in token consumption, significantly increasing efficiency.
In the rapidly growing AI technology market, such functionality enhances Claude's competitiveness. Adapting to changing requests and flexibility in using tools become critically important for AI agents, enabling them to effectively interact with external systems and APIs.
The use of new features has led to a significant improvement in model accuracy. Internal tests showed that with the Search Tool feature enabled, the model's accuracy in tasks with large tool libraries increased to 88.1%. This underscores the importance of adapting AI agents to new conditions, opening up opportunities for creating more complex applications.
