AWS has introduced the DevOps Agent and Security Agent, featuring autonomous management and security testing capabilities, providing users with ways to optimize their operations.
At the latest re:Invent conference, Amazon Web Services announced the launch of two new key products: the DevOps Agent and Security Agent, which are now available after completing preliminary testing. These agents are designed to automate cloud processes, allowing businesses to respond to incidents more quickly and enhance resilience to threats.
The AWS DevOps Agent automates the management of cloud operations and improves incident handling. For example, United Airlines and Western Governors University reported a significant reduction in Mean Time to Resolution (MTTR) — from several hours to minutes. Customers participating in the testing reported improvements of up to 75% in reducing MTTR and accelerating incident response by 3-5 times.
The AWS Security Agent offers features similar to those of human testers, allowing companies like LG CNS and HENNGE to reduce testing time by more than 50% and costs by 30%. This positions AWS in a more competitive stance in the cloud services market.
The launch of these technologies will significantly impact the development of cloud solutions, providing more efficient management of operations and data protection. In the face of ever-growing cyber threats and demands for service speed, the implementation of such agents represents a strategic step towards enhancing customer service quality and business resilience.
