ChatGPT Mobile App Gains Codex Integration for Remote Code Checks and Approvals

Codex is now available inside the ChatGPT mobile app, allowing users to monitor, steer and approve code tasks in real time from phones across laptops, devboxes, Mac minis and managed remote environments.

Codex has been added to the ChatGPT mobile app, enabling users to perform remote code checks and approvals from their phones. The integration surfaces the live state of any machine running Codex so users can see active threads, approvals, plugin activity and project context without being physically at the host device. This change matters because it lets users and agents keep work moving and make timely decisions when they are away from the development host.

The app loads and displays the live runtime context from machines where Codex runs, including laptops, devboxes, dedicated Mac minis and managed remote environments. From that live view, users can dispatch tasks to the remote environment, review results returned by Codex, alter the direction of work and approve the next steps of a workflow. The integration is designed to provide continuity of context — showing approvals and plugin state alongside project details — so reviewers do not have to reconstruct what was happening on the host before taking action.
