Claude for Small Business installs as a toggle in Claude Cowork to run 15 ready agentic workflows and 15 repeatable

Claude for Small Business embeds the Claude assistant directly into commonly used small‑business tools, shifting routine administrative work out of chat windows and into executable automations. The integration arrives as a simple toggle inside Claude Cowork and is designed to execute defined jobs-from payroll planning to invoice chasing and campaign launches — against a company’s existing software stack, with the assistant pausing for owner approval before triggering external actions.

The product ships with 15 ready‑to‑run agentic workflows and 15 repeatable skills mapped to bottlenecks reported by small‑business owners. After toggling the integration in Claude Cowork and connecting their services, users select a job and Claude runs the workflow: it compiles the necessary data, prepares messages or changes, and then waits for the owner to approve emails, published content or payments before any external activity occurs. Example workflows include planning payroll by reconciling QuickBooks cash positions with PayPal settlements and producing a 30‑day cash forecast, and automating month‑end close tasks.

Integrations target specific operational domains. PayPal supports settlements, invoicing, disputes and refunds inside the assistant’s workflows; Intuit QuickBooks is used for payroll planning, the monthly close, cash‑flow analysis, reconciliation and tax‑prep support; HubSpot drives lead triage, customer pulse checks and campaign attribution; and Canva generates creative assets. Anthropic also lists DocuSign, Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 among supported connectors so automated tasks can touch contracts, documents and productivity apps.

The rollout is positioned against the broader economic importance of small businesses: they account for 44% of U.S. GDP and employ nearly half of the private‑sector workforce, yet AI adoption has trailed larger firms. Company leadership frames the product as part of a public‑benefit mission to tailor AI to small‑business operations. Daniela Amodei, co‑founder and president, said Claude can remove late‑night administrative burdens from owners’ plates and help close resource gaps between small and larger companies.

Beyond individual task automation, the integration is built to enable cross‑system workflows that matter to builders and integrators: reconciliations spanning payment and accounting systems, campaign flows that move from CRM analysis to asset generation, and approval‑gated operations to limit risk. The package includes training and partner support for onboarding, and Anthropic anticipates builders will seek additional connectors, custom workflows and monitoring hooks as businesses scale these automations.
