Data Security Center (DSC) is an all-in-one platform that embeds AI across the data security lifecycle, offering LLM-based data classification, optimized Tongyi OCR image desensitization, and a native AI threat — detection engine.
Alibaba Cloud has unveiled Data Security Center (DSC), a unified platform that embeds artificial intelligence across the entire data security lifecycle to automate classification, redaction and threat detection. The launch signals a push to reduce manual data-handling work and speed up compliance efforts by applying large language models and specialized AI tools directly to enterprise datasets. This should help security and compliance teams locate and protect sensitive material more quickly and at scale.
A central capability of DSC is Intelligent Data Classification, which combines LLM-based analysis with rule templates to discover structured and semi-structured sensitive data. The system is designed to identify phone numbers, ID numbers and custom enterprise fields, allowing organizations to apply consistent labels and handling policies without relying solely on manual rules or searches. DSC also offers Intelligent Image Desensitization powered by an optimized Tongyi OCR engine. The OCR extracts text from images so the platform can automatically mask or redact sensitive content within pictures and scanned documents, addressing a common blind spot when unstructured visual data is stored alongside text-based records.
