At I/O 2026, the Dialogues stage convened company leaders, researchers and creative figures to map near-term developments in AI agents, quantum computing, robotics and AI-driven creativity; recordings of the sessions are available on YouTube. The program paired technical briefings with conversations about practical and cultural impact, signaling how those advances could reshape research agendas and creative workflows.
High-level technical conversations included a discussion led by Sundar Pichai with Matt Berman, and a focused session on proactive AI agents featuring Josh Woodward, Koray Kavukcuoglu, Liz Reid and Jeff Dean in conversation with Logan Kilpatrick. Separately, Hartmut Neven and James Manyika explored intersections between quantum computing and AI, assessing how progress in quantum hardware and algorithms could influence machine learning research and applications.

The Dialogues also addressed AI’s role in scientific discovery and embodied systems. Demis Hassabis spoke with Mike Allen about AI’s contribution to scientific work, while Kanishka Rao, Alberto Rodriguez and Jacklyn Dallas examined challenges and opportunities in embodied AI and robotics. Creative perspectives appeared as well: filmmaker Doug Liman joined Jed Weintrob and Julina Tatlock to consider how AI is being used in film production and storytelling.
