Sam Altman's World project is starting to scale its identity verification services: the first step is Tinder.

The World project, developed by Tools for Humanity, is ramping up its ambitions with the integration of technologies into dating apps, ticket sales systems, and other areas of public life, starting with Tinder.

At a stylish event near the pier in San Francisco, Sam Altman presented a new phase in the development of his identity verification project, World. The company intends to integrate its technologies into dating apps, event ticket sales, and email. 'The world is approaching powerful AI that does a lot,' noted Altman.

World, formerly known as Worldcoin, stands out among competitors due to its technology that allows verification that a real person is using a digital service while maintaining anonymity. The main verification tool is the Orb digital reader, which scans the iris and turns it into a unique cryptographic identifier called Verified World ID.

As part of a pilot project with Tinder in Japan, World plans to begin integrating its technology into the online dating sector. The success of this testing will serve as the basis for a global launch of the verification feature, allowing users to mark their profiles with 'World ID', confirming their real identity.

Additionally, World will develop the Concert Kit tool, which will allow artists to sell tickets exclusively to users with a verified World ID, protecting them from scalpers. This tool is compatible with major ticket sales systems such as Ticketmaster and Eventbrite.

The event also included announcements of new business solutions. Integration with Zoom will provide identity verification in video calls, while a partnership with DocuSign will create the opportunity for confirming digital signatures. The company is actively developing identity management features in online operations, including 'agent delegation', which will allow users to delegate actions to their representatives.

Despite all the achievements, one of the main challenges for World is simplifying the verification process, which complicates the scaling of services. Nevertheless, the company continues to work on improving and expanding its influence in the growing market of digital identification and security.
