Signull Labs Secures $3.58M to Transform the iPhone into an Agentic AI Homescreen

Signull Labs, a New York-based stealth startup, has successfully secured $3.58 million in pre-seed funding to radically reimagine how consumers interact with artificial intelligence on their mobile devices. The funding round, which closed in September 2025 and reportedly brings the company to a post-money valuation of $19.5 million, is backing the development of an unreleased iPhone application called Skye. Created by Nirav Savjani, a former Google and Meta employee who operates under the online pseudonym signüll, the project has already drawn financial support from prominent venture capital firms and investors including Andreessen Horowitz, True Ventures, SV Angel, and Offline Ventures.

At the heart of this disruption is a stark departure from the conversational interfaces that currently dominate the artificial intelligence landscape. Rather than functioning as a standalone chatbot that strictly requires active, typed user prompts, Skye essentially transforms the standard Apple interface into a dynamic, agentic homescreen. The application utilizes native iOS widgets to create an ambient intelligence layer directly on the user's device. Instead of opening a dedicated application to query an AI, users grant authorized connections to their personal data, allowing Skye to continuously surface relevant, personalized insights without requiring manual intervention.

The mechanics of Skye illustrate a critical evolution in how software can anticipate human needs through deep contextual awareness. Through its widget — based interface, the assistant is designed to monitor a user's current situation and deliver highly specific information, ranging from localized weather updates and health metrics to proactive meeting preparations. The software's capabilities extend far beyond passive observation, as the creator notes the app can actively draft email replies, issue timely reminders, and systematically monitor connected bank accounts to flag suspicious charges. Furthermore, when users are exploring their surroundings, Skye is built to provide location — specific recommendations and contextual details about nearby businesses, neighborhoods, and attractions.

The rapid virality of Skye's initial public tease underscores a massive consumer appetite for this exact type of frictionless, ambient technology. Following social media demonstrations posted by Savjani in April 2026, the concept generated approximately one million video views virtually overnight. This exposure flooded the previously quiet startup with an avalanche of user sign-ups, adding tens of thousands of new prospective users to a waitlist that had already surpassed 25,000 registrations. The sudden surge in interest also prompted a wave of unsolicited inquiries from potential investors and tech enthusiasts eager to participate in the ongoing private testing phase.

This overwhelming early support highlights a much broader structural pivot unfolding within the consumer technology sector regarding artificial intelligence integration. The enthusiasm for an AI-aware iPhone interface suggests that consumers are ready for proactive background agents, which could also signal a welcoming market for rumored dedicated hardware like the speculated OpenAI smartphone. While Savjani has actively promoted the project through social media and podcast appearances, utilizing a digital avatar to maintain a degree of privacy, Signull Labs has not yet established a definitive public launch date. The small development team currently only plans to begin rolling out initial access to its extensive waitlist in the near future.
